1. About Biomatik

Biomatik provides information regarding prescription-only compounded medicines and facilitates the ordering process for registered healthcare professionals.

Prescription medicines offered through this website are compounded and dispensed by a duly licensed South African pharmacy against a valid prescription. Biomatik facilitates practitioner access, order coordination and customer support, but does not compound or dispense medicines.

All medicines are supplied in accordance with applicable South African legislation governing the prescribing, compounding and dispensing of medicines.

2. Practitioner Access

This website is intended exclusively for:

  • Registered healthcare professionals;
  • Authorised healthcare practices;
  • Approved practitioner account holders.

Biomatik reserves the right to approve, decline, suspend or terminate practitioner accounts at its sole discretion.

Registration may require verification of professional credentials, including but not limited to HPCSA registration and any additional documentation considered necessary.

3. Prescription Requirement

Prescription medicines supplied through this website require a valid prescription issued by an appropriately authorised healthcare professional.

Submission of an order does not guarantee acceptance.

Orders will only be processed once:

  • the required prescription has been received;
  • the dispensing pharmacy has verified the prescription;
  • all regulatory requirements have been satisfied; and
  • the dispensing pharmacy has accepted the prescription for dispensing.

The dispensing pharmacy reserves the right to contact the prescriber for clarification where necessary.

4. Professional Responsibility

Healthcare professionals remain solely responsible for:

  • patient assessment;
  • diagnosis;
  • prescribing decisions;
  • determining clinical appropriateness;
  • monitoring treatment outcomes;
  • counselling patients regarding risks and benefits.

Information contained on this website is provided for professional educational purposes only and does not replace independent clinical judgement.

5. Product Information

Product descriptions, strengths, presentations and therapeutic information are provided in good faith for healthcare professionals.

Biomatik makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of all information but does not warrant that the website will always be complete, current or free from errors.

6. Orders

Submission of an order constitutes a request to purchase and does not constitute acceptance.

Orders may be declined where:

  • a prescription is invalid;
  • regulatory requirements are not met;
  • stock is unavailable;
  • pricing errors occur;
  • payment cannot be processed;
  • fraud is suspected.

Biomatik reserves the right to refuse any order where necessary to comply with applicable legislation or professional obligations.

7. Pricing

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Errors in pricing may be corrected before an order is accepted.

8. Payment

Payment must be made using the payment methods made available on the website.

Ownership of products passes only once payment has been received in full.

9. Delivery

Delivery is available only within the Republic of South Africa.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to courier delays, prescription verification or operational requirements.

Temperature-sensitive medicines must be stored immediately in accordance with the supplied instructions.

10. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by the Biomatik Returns and Refund Policy.

For patient safety and regulatory reasons, medicines generally cannot be returned once supplied unless defective, damaged or incorrectly dispensed.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including:

  • logos;
  • product photographs;
  • graphics;
  • documents;
  • brochures;
  • text;
  • trademarks;
  • layouts;
  • branding;

is the property of Biomatik or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without prior written permission.

12. Website Availability

While every effort is made to maintain uninterrupted access, Biomatik does not guarantee continuous availability of the website.

Maintenance, updates or technical issues may temporarily interrupt access.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Biomatik shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from:
